Lycanroc rises to its paws, stalking forward and jumping down soundlessly from the wooden patio deck. It slinks toward the Whismur, but unfortunately the rubbish rummager spots the predator before it can approach.

An almighty roar surprising for a creature of its size is unleashed, forcing Lycanroc back into its ball.

Gavin casts a wary glance across the street. It's making too much noise.

With a flick of the wrist, another of his Pokemon is freed. Psellia takes but a moment to adjust to her surroundings before delivering a vicious sky uppercut to the Whismur's gut. Unfortunately, the noise Whismur had made seems to attract something else...

SKIPPING WHISMUR

To actually see a Kecleon in the wild is surprising enough to give Gavin pause. Hm. They are quite valuable...

But he's not short on cash, and he's already got a Kelceon of his own.

So he whistles, and Psellia fires off a volley of seed bombs that startle the skittish Pokemon and send it scurrying back down the alley.

Gavin checks the time on his phone, frowning. He should be getting home, soon.

SKIPPING KECLEON

Where the Whismur had been aggressive and the Kecleon frightened, the Deerling seems almost curious as it peers out from behind a bend in the alley. Its coat bears the gentle pastels of spring, and the tiny nubs of antlers peek from beneath a yellow flower.

As a species, they'd always fascinated him. Their ability to change with the seasons was unique, and thus relevant to potential scientific studies.

Decided, he abandons his surveillance and retrieves a luxury ball from his bag.

"Come closer, then," he coaxes, clicking his tongue for Psellia to stand down. "That's it..."

When it's close enough, he throws the ball.
